Climate Change

Across the United States and globally - precipitation and temperature patterns are changing; sea level is slowly rising; the oceans are becoming more acidic; and the intensity and frequency of extreme weather events are increasing. Climate risks are affecting all areas of business performance, increasing the risk of interruption and financial loss. We provide integrated and innovative solutions that identify climate change related challenges and opportunities, and co-design a roadmap that promotes business continuity and competitiveness.

What is Climate Change?

Climate change is a change in global or regional climate patterns, in particular a change apparent from the mid to late 20th century onwards and attributed largely to the increased levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide produced by the use of fossil fuels. It is also associated with negative impacts to the natural environment and biodiversity, which includes damages to important wetlands, habitats and consequently the provision of ecosystem services and good on which the livelihoods of millions of people depend.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) in its 2016 global risk report indicated that the failure of climate change mitigation and adaptation has risen to the top risk and is perceived as the most impactful risk for the years to come.

Why Should You Care?

Climate Change, once considered an issue of a distant future, has moved firmly into the present.  More severe weather conditions - variation in intensity and frequency of natural disasters are directly threatening our way of living and how we conduct business. Anticipating climate impact on your project/program and designing a long-term plan to manage it is a smart business decision. For businesses & governments, the Paris Agreement is a licence not only to implement climate-friendly practices but also to innovate and develop the next generation of solutions.
